Basin Mixer Taps

A basin mixer taps come in various designs but the overall principal design is one tap know as a 'mixer tap' or 'monobloc mixer tap'
This tap is designed to be installed with a basin that have one hole (normally at the centre back)  The mixer tap delivers both hot and cold water combined from the spout. 

How do you alter the flow of water from the tap ? 
To control the amount of water from the tap, simply left the level or stalk on top of the tap. Close to stop the water. 

How do you control the temperature ? 
To alter the temperature of the water, the lever or stalk can be pushed left or right. 

Are basin mixer taps easy to install? 

We always advise speaking with your installer to check your choice of tap is suitable for your basin and water system. The majority of the ranges come with 'flexible tails' to connect onto your existing pipework.

Cool Start Taps, as known as as 'Cold Start Taps..
Some brands of basin mixer taps are known as 'cool' or 'cold start' taps. To operate these taps, the control (such as lever or stalk) only lefts up to begin with and then turn to one side for hot water. This is particularly beneficial to save energy if you have a combi boiler  - it saves the boilers turning on and off each time the tap is operated)
